Suffice it to say that The Old Tablemeister has been remiss in updating and keeping current on the happenings and goings on at Tabletop Productions. Our apologies. We are into a new year now and we resolve to try harder to bring you timely, current, important (or not!) information and news pertaining to the artists and events that we represent
Real big at the top of 'new news" are a couple of items . . . First, we want to welcome our newest tribute band to our exclusive roster: TREZ EQUIS (30 Years Of ZZ top). The new project features two fine fellows from Grand Junction, Co and the drummer from two of our other bands (Jimmy Williamson of Boys Of Summer and All My Brothers Band). This tribute to "that li'l ole band from Texas" has generated a great deal of interest from many buyers. Dates are limited by geography and the busy schedules of all three players, but they want to play as much as possible and they are putting new dates on their calendar on a regular basis. We welcome the band and highly recommend that you check them out.
The other BIG news is the pairing of a couple of our acts . . .not a new concept, admittedly . . . but this one is a little different. We have some great poster art and promotional materials to help promoters market this exciting package. It is THE LAST DAYS OF THE FILLMORE REVISITED. Starring CARAVANSERAI & BUMP CITY (Tributes to Santana and Tower Of Power). Caravanserai has been with us for more than 10 years now, while Bump City has logged one year of presenting their exciting T.O.P. tribute show. As Caravanserai band leader Leo Herrera pointed out, the two original acts were often seen together on stages in the Bay Area at the Fillmore. The Avalon, Winterland and other venues across the country. You aren't likely to see that NOW, so we intend to bring back those exciting days of the San Francisco Bay Area music scene by putting two of our best groups of musicians on tour. SIXTEEN musicians plus crew make it a big entourage, but it is surprisingly affordable and it is musical artistry at its best! Call us for promo, avails, pricing and details!
NUTHIN' FANCY (Tribute To Lynyrd Skynyrd) continues its "comeback" that began last year - a resurgence that has surprised and delighted Southern Rock fans around the West Coast. This is the top Skynyrd tribute on this side of the Mississippi and they can certainly hold its own against those from the South, so don't hesitate to grab a date on this great, seven-piece band from San Jose.
We are happy to announce Northern Nevada and Northern California representation of THE SOUND OF THE SUPREMES. This great show stars Karen Ragland, who toured for years with Mary Wilson's version of The Supremes. This is a visually stunning stage presentation and again, more affordable than you might think.
Well, I could go on but we can only jam so much info into so little space. So I will endeavor to be timelier and a little more disciplined in keeping you up to date. Thanks, so long for now.
